Teaching Deportment in Schools

Many years ago, I owned a model agency in Liverpool called ‘Shocks Models’ and taught deportment classes to would-be models. So, when I work in schools, I transfer these skills to the students and we learn to walk like a model and practice catwalk skills. It’s great fun.

I believe good posture is so important. Being an ex-asthmatic, I learnt that over the years of struggling to breathe I’d built up really bad posture. Now I stand stall and can breathe properly! I wish they taught more of this in schools. There’s so much positivity that comes out of correct posture it’s incredible.

I really look forward to being able to work in schools again.

If you haven’t already checked out some of my articles in LinkedIn, there’s quite a bit of info in there about posing and ‘tips for managing your personal image’. In the meantime, if you’ve any questions about photography or posing please feel free to get in touch. Have a great weekend. Helen.x
